The Syzygy Theatre Group presents the West Coast premiere of award-winning playwright Barrie Keeffe's Sus. In a nation moving overnight from a moderate to an extreme political climate, Sus examines racial prejudice and the power to brand citizens as "suspects." Two London detectives await the Tory landslide while interrogating a black suspect - not for the "sus" charge that he cheerily expects, but for the brutal murder of his wife. Sus's England chillingly echoes modern America, where the civil rights of suspected minorities are disposed of in the name of conservative patriotism. October 2nd
